Dynamic Filter Efficiency |
|
By testing filters using the Dynamic Filter Efficiency (DFE) model, simulated dynamic events such as flow fluctuations and mechanical vibration will determine the true performance of the filter under actual operating conditions. Let the CCTS by SSi make sure your hydraulic systems can stand up to their true environment.
ISO 16889 standard filter tests do not relate conditions in an operating system to actual filter performance and are used primarily to rate the various filters available on the market today. The affects of excessive stress on a system with regards to levels of contamination and filter performance are many times overlooked.
In addition to neglecting the true operating environment, a number of uncontrolled variables aid in skewing the results of tests conducted while following the ISO 16889 standard. These variables include the operator’s techniques, the Open-loop Test Circuit and the fact that the On-line Counting is not synchronized in real-time with the conditions in the test system. |
